Rev. Joseph Shaw came to Australia in 1862 and was appointed Missionary to the Aborigines of Australia on October 17th, 1862. He undertook Christian missionary work with Aborigines at Yelta, a Church of England mission near the junction of the Murray and Darling Rivers, from 1862-1866.
